Gifted and Talented | Creative Development
I have always felt strongly about the healing power of creativity, which has been an important cornerstone in my work and in my personal life. My passion for understanding and encouraging creativity lead me to work as a teacher in a school for Gifted and Talented children, where I gained an intimate understanding of the social and emotional experiences of people who have active, creative minds. I have an affinity for teaching and working with gifted and talented people, and this permeates my work as a therapist. Clients never come to me saying, “I have a problem with my unique mind”; rather they come in with the same issues as their peers, such as anxiety, loneliness, and habits that no longer serve them. It is my unique understanding of the interpersonal and intrapersonal struggles that gifted people face that allows me to understand some of the deeper sources of their current challenges.
